Jobs From Home

Ditto Transcripts is always looking for professional, committed, and experienced medical transcriptionists to add to our ever-growing roster of specialty workers. With the consistent demand for skilled medical transcriptionists, there’s never been a better time to enter the transcription industry — and with the added benefit of a work-from-home setup.

Why apply for companies that hire online transcriptionists in the face of AI?

Medical transcriptionist jobs are in high demand these days, and starting out here can give you a chance to branch out to work as a medical scribe or transcription editor. Despite the rise of voice-recognition software and AI-driven solutions, many healthcare professionals and industry experts agree that human-led transcription services are indispensable. Human transcriptionists offer accuracy, contextual understanding, a deeper insight into linguistic nuance, output integrity, flexibility in customization, and a firmer grasp of dialects and accents that AI simply cannot match in their current state.

Looking for Work-From-Home Medical Transcription Jobs? Ditto has you covered.

Doctors and their assistants don’t want to be flooded with patient and test records. Even hospitals and clinics need a hand in keeping up with paperwork.

Ditto Transcripts, a 100% U.S.-based, HIPAA-compliant company, offers industry-leading medical transcription services for any clients or customers — the prime choice for any outsourced transcription needs.

We are always on the lookout for medical transcriptionists that meet our requirements. We offer transcription jobs from home with flexible hours for part-time freelance and independent contractors, with the chance to be promoted to full-time employment for select applicants.

Aside from our strict qualifications (ability to demonstrate high accuracy, typing speed, a good eye for detail, and familiarity with healthcare industry terms and jargon), medical transcription practitioners require very little in terms of scholastic requirements. The bare minimum requirement for entry-level transcriptionists is a certificate from high school. However, people with considerable industry experience, post-secondary qualifications, RHDS certifications, etc., will receive higher wages.

What Makes a Good Medical Transcriptionist?

  • A meticulous eye: Detail-oriented medical transcriptionists can easily spot errors and produce flawless transcripts for their clients.

Aside from personal requirements, you’ll need the proper equipment to get started in the healthcare transcription field. These can include:

  • A late-model laptop or desktop computer
  • A secure internet connection
  • Quality, closed-back headphones
  • Foot pedal
  • Transcription software

Is This The Right Career Option for You?

A career in medical transcription is not for everyone, so it’s important to assess your skills and preferred working conditions before entering the field.

This job entails collaborating with different healthcare professionals every day and helping them maintain the accuracy and completeness of their electronic health records. The work can be rewarding, but it can also be extremely daunting, especially with all the medical terminology you need to be able to master.

Medical transcription will also have you working at a computer for an extended time. If you quickly get restless sitting in one place, you may need to consider another profession that will allow or require you to move more.

If you want to work from home as a medical transcriptionist at Ditto Transcripts, it will be your responsibility to combat all the distractions you may face at home. While many people love working from home, some prefer the structure that an office or clinic environment provides. You might not want to choose to work at home if you’re more partial to the latter.

But there’s no need to look for other transcription companies just yet if you feel like home medical transcription is not for you. We offer transcription work for legal entities, law enforcement agencies, businesses, finance companies, various sections of academia, and other industries. Feel free to browse our site to find out more.
